Dudziak Collects ACC Weekly Award

DURHAM, N.C.-Duke University senior Konrad Dudziak has been named the ACC Co-Wrestler of the Week after brining home the heavyweight title from the Hokie Open this past weekend.

The second-ranked Dudziak, a 2009 NCAA runner-up and All-America selection, posted four consecutive wins by decision, including a 4-1 victory over No. 8 David Marone of Virginia Tech in the championship match at the Hokie Open. Dudziak, a native of Bayonne, N.J., also scored an 8-5 win over North Carolina's Peter Sturgeon in the second round.

Duke posted a successful opening weekend, placing seven different wrestlers at a pair of events. Five Blue Devils place at The Citadel Open and two more earned a top-four finish at the Hokie Open.

The Blue Devils return to the mat this weekend, Nov. 14 at the Pembroke Open.
