DURHAM, N.C.- The Duke women's basketball program and Head Coach Joanne P. McCallie held its second annual True Blue Golf Classic sponsored by Stephanie's of Rocky Mount on Monday at the Duke University Golf Club. The event featured 34 foursomes and 135 participants, while raising money for Duke women's basketball.
The classic was greeted with chilly weather in the morning as the participants teed off at 9:00 a.m. The day turned out to be a perfect day for golf with the temperature almost reaching 70 degrees. Following the 18 holes of captain's choice golf, all players gathered at the Scharf Hall in the Michael W. Krzyzewski Center for a meal provided by NOSH, silent and live auction.
Awards were given out for the top four teams, worst team, longest putts and longest drives. Listed below are the team winners. Thanks to everyone who participated in this wonderful event.
