DURHAM, N.C. ? The Duke men's and women's tennis programs have received a donation from former men's tennis player Greg Hills for a new state-of-the-art video system.
“We are extremely grateful and excited that Greg has made such a substantive gift to the Duke tennis programs,” said Director of Tennis Jay Lapidus. “This video system is the best in college tennis and will provide unlimited benefits for both our men's and women's student athletes.”
Hills was a four-year letterwinner from 1973-76 at Duke, helping the Blue Devils to a 56-25 record during his four seasons. Hills donated the money to purchase the new video system that will allow Duke to video practices and matches on both the indoor and outdoor courts. It will also allow the Blue Devils the opportunity to do live streaming of home matches on www.goduke.com.
Video cameras are permanently installed at each court and can be operated from the video control center in the Sheffield Indoor Tennis Center. The control center allows coaches and student-athletes to record and play back practices and matches.
