No. 2 Duke defeated Boston College, 90-80, on February 9, 2008, at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke improves to 21-1 overall and 9-0 in the ACC while the Eagles falls to 12-10 and 3-6, respectively.

- Duke recorded 19 offensive rebounds for the second straight game, a total that's just one off the season high. Lance Thomas recorded five offensive boards while Kyle Singler and DeMarcus Nelson each had four.
- Duke's Kyle Singler (24 points) and DeMarcus Nelson (23) both scoring 20 points is the second time this season a pair of Blue Devils have had 20 or more points in a game.
Duke Offense
- Duke scored 90 points a total of seven times this season, including four times in nine ACC games.
- Duke now has 90 games with players scoring in double figures this season.
- Jon Scheyer's 11 points is the 25th game scoring in double figures off the bench for the Blue Devils this season, tied for the seventh-highest total in Duke history.
- Duke's 15-to-6 assist-to-turnover ratio (2.5) is the best of the season and the third time that it has been above 2.0 this season. Duke had 19 assists to eight turnovers against Michigan on Dec. 8 and 20 assist to eight turnovers against Albany on Dec. 17.
Duke Defense
- Duke had 10 steals against Boston College, marking the seventh time in nine ACC games that the Blue Devils have recorded 10 or more steals. Duke is averaging 10.3 steals per game in ACC play this season.
- Duke gave up seven three pointers against Boston College, marking the first time in ACC play the Blue Devils have surrendered more than four in a game.
- Duke forced 21 turnovers from the Eagles while allowing 16 assists. This is the 12th time this season Duke's opponent has had 20 or more turnovers and the 19th time in 22 games that Duke's opponent has had fewer assists than turnovers.
Coach K
- Coach K is now 796-262 as a head coach, ranking sixth on the NCAA wins chart and second among active coaches. Only Eddie Sutton, who is fifth overall and tops among active coaches with 800 wins is ahead of him while first overall is Bob Knight with 902 wins.
- With 796 career wins in his first 33 seasons, Coach K is currently second on the NCAA's list of most victories in a coaches' first 33 season. He trails Dean Smith, who had 802 wins through 33 seasons.
- Coach K now has 796 wins in 1,058 career games and is looking to become the third-fastest coach to 800 wins based on number of games. Adolph Rupp (972) and Dean Smith (1,029) are already out of reach and Bob Knight is currently third, accomplishing the feat in 1,102 games.
- Coach K now has 723 wins at Duke and ranks seventh on the NCAA's chart for most wins at one school, just one game behind sixth place and DePaul's Ray Meyer with 724. Coach K is also second among active coaches behind Syracuse's Jim Boeheim (766).
DeMarcus Nelson
- The senior scored 23 points, shooting 8-of-10 from the field, 1-of-1 from behind the arc and 6-of-12 from the line, and added eight rebounds and five assists in 30 minutes of action.
- Nelson's 80-percent from the field is a Duke season high with at least 10 attempts and the first time a Duke player has shot 80 percent or better from the field since he also shot 8-of-10 against George Mason on Dec. 9, 2006. There have been 119 games in Duke history with a player shooting 80 percent or better with at least 10 attempts in a game.
- Nelson continued his streak of 20 point games in every other contest, a trend that has occurred over the past 14 games now.
- Nelson has scored 20 or more in six of the last seven home games.
- Nelson has seven 20 point games this season, all in the last 13 games, and has 10 in his career.
- Nelson now has 19 games in double figures this season, including seven straight and 14 of the last 15, and 62 such games in his career.
- Nelson moved past Tommy Amaker (1984-87 ? 1,168) and into 38th on Duke's career scoring chart. He now has 1,183 and needs 60 more to move into 37th and pass Bernie Janacki (1952-54, 1,247).
- Nelson recorded his second game this season and in his career with five or more points, rebounds and assists in the same game. That is a feat that has happened 144 times at Duke. He also did it against Wisconsin on Nov. 27.
Kyle Singler
- The freshman had 24 points, 10 rebounds, three steals and one assist and block. He was 8-of-18 from the field, 3-of-7 from long range and 5-of-7 from the line in 34 minutes.
- Singler recorded his fourth double-double, including his second straight and now has four games, including two straight, with 10 or more rebounds.
- Singler recorded his third 20-point performance of the season and his 16th in double figures, including four straight and eight of the last nine.
- Singler recorded a season high with three steals.
- Singler now has five games with three or more three-pointers on the season and he has hit at least one in 10 straight games, the third longest streak in the ACC.
Greg Paulus
- The junior recorded eight points, hitting a pair of three-pointers, and added five assist to just one turnover in 31 minutes.
- Paulus now has a 2.17-to-1 turnover ratio with 78 assists and just 36 turnovers on the season. In ACC play, he has 30 assists and just 12 turnovers for a 2.5-to-1 ratio.
Jon Scheyer
- The sophomore scored 11 points, grabbed five rebounds and had a pair of assists and steals in 29 minutes off the bench for Duke.
- He now has 13 games scoring in double figures, including two straight, and 35 such games in his career.
Lance Thomas
- The sophomore had six points and five rebounds, all offensive, to go along with a pair of steals in 24 minutes.
- Thomas' five rebounds matches his season high and his five offensive rebounds is a career high and is the second most for a Duke player this season.
Brian Zoubek
- The sophomore received his first playing time in the last 10 games with two minutes in the first half. Zoubek missed those games with a left foot injury.
