- Duke is 9-1 on the year, following a 99-56 win over UNC Asheville on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have now started the season with an 9-1 mark 16 times, including eight times under Mike Krzyzewski.
- The Blue Devils are ranked sixth in the AP poll and the ESPN/USA Today Coaches poll. Xavier is ranked seventh in both polls.
- Duke has won 25 of its last 36 games when both teams are ranked in the top 10 of the AP poll. Duke is 1-0 this season in games featuring two top 10 teams.
- Kyle Singler came off the bench to lead the Blue Devils in points (14), rebounds (8), assists (5), blocks (1) and steals (4) in the win over UNC Asheville. He finished the game 6-of-8 from the field and 2-of-2 from three-point distance.
- Gerald Henderson (14), Jon Scheyer (13), Brian Zoubek (12) and Nolan Smith (12) also came off the bench to score in double figures against UNC Asheville.
- The Blue Devils set a school record with 72 points off the bench (records kept since 1976-77) in the win over UNC Asheville. The previous record was 70 against Harvard on Nov. 25, 1989.
- Senior Greg Paulus made four three-point field goals en route to a season-high 12 points on Wednesday. Paulus along with David McClure, Martynas Pocius, Elliot Williams and Miles Plumlee all made their first starts of the year against UNC Asheville.

- Duke is one win shy of matching the school record for most wins in a decade. The Blue Devils won 271 games from 1990-99.
- The Blue Devils are 17-1 all-time at the Meadowlands, including a 10-0 mark in the NCAA Tournament. Duke is 7-1 in regular season games there, with a 2-0 mark in the Jimmy V Classic.
- Duke is 8-1 as a ranked team at the Meadowlands.
- Duke is facing an Atlantic 10 opponent for the third time this season on Saturday. The Blue Devils posted wins over Rhode Island (82-79) and Duquesne (95-72) in November.
- Duke is 74-27 all-time against teams currently in the A10. The Blue Devils have won 13 straight contests against A10 opponents (last loss was 59-58 versus Temple on Jan. 25, 1996).

- A school record five players (Kyle Singler, Gerald Henderson, Jon Scheyer, Nolan Smith and Brian Zoubek) came off the bench to score in double figures in the win over UNC Asheville.
- Duke's bench accounted for 72.7 percent of its offense on Wednesday. The reserves scored a school record 72 of the team's 99 points.
- The Blue Devils have recorded 20 or more assists in three of the last four games. Duke is averaging 18.8 assists per game during that stretch with Kyle Singler leading the way at 4.0 apg. The Blue Devils recorded a season-high 22 assists on Wednesday against UNC Asheville.
- Sophomore Kyle Singler became the sixth Duke player and first Blue Devil off the bench to lead the team or tie for the lead in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocked shots in a game. He finished the UNC Asheville game with 14 points, eight rebounds, five assists, four steals and one block. The other five players to accomplish the feat were Jim Spanarkel (at North Carolina, 1/15/77), Gene Banks (vs. N.C. State, 12/6/80), Mark Alarie (vs. George Mason, 1/3/83), Johnny Dawkins (vs. Stetson, 2/16/83) and Chris Carrawell (vs. N.C. State, 2/19/00).
- Duke made seven of its first eight three-point field goal attempts against UNC Asheville. The Blue Devils finished the game with a season-high 11 three-pointers. Duke is 125-31 all-time when making 10 or more treys in a game, including a 28-2 mark since the 2005-06 season.
- Junior Brian Zoubek tallied a season-high 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting from the field and 2-of-3 from the foul line against UNC Asheville. He has scored 10 or more points twice this season and seven times in his career. Zoubek is averaging 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds over the last two contests.
