No. 7-ranked Duke defeated Duquesne 95-72 on Friday, November 28, 2008, in Cameron Indoor Stadium to improve to 7-0 in the 2008-09 season.
Duke vs. Duquesne Series
? Duke and Duquesne met for the sixth time on Friday with the Blue Devils now holding a 5-1 advantage in the all-time series. The last time the two schools met was on Dec. 28, 1977 when Duke claimed a 74-65 victory in Raleigh. The Blue Devils came out on top in the first ever meeting on Feb. 10, 1943, by a 55-41 final score in Durham.
? The Blue Devils now have a 75-27 all-time record against schools currently in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Friday's contest marked the second of the season for Duke against an Atlantic 10 member. The Blue Devils defeated Rhode Island, 82-79, on Nov. 16 in Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke is also scheduled to face Xavier in East Rutherford, N.J., on Dec. 20.
Blue Devils Start Season 7-0
? Duke improved to 7-0 with a victory on Friday, marking the fourth time in the past five seasons they have won their first seven games. The Blue Devils have now started the season 7-0 a total of 22 times.
? Under Mike Krzyzewski, Duke has started 7-0 a total of 15 times in his 29 years. Since the 2000-01 season, the Blue Devils have gotten off to a 7-0 start in seven of the nine seasons.
Non-Conference Home Winning Streak
? With a win over Duquesne, Duke stretched its NCAA-leading non-conference home winning streak to 64 consecutive games. The Blue Devils' last home loss to a non-conference team was an 83-82 decision against St. John's on Feb. 26, 2000.
? The 64 straight non-conference home wins is the second longest streak in school history. The Blue Devils won 95 straight from Feb. 2, 1983 through Nov. 29, 1995.
? Duke has won 194 of its last 197 non-conference games at home.
Duke In November
? Duke closed out the month of November with an undefeated 7-0 record. It is the second straight season and fourth time in five years the Blue Devils did not lose a game in the opening month. Duke is now 110-16 all-time in November, including 96-10 under Coach K and 47-2 since 1997-98. The Blue Devils are currently on a 16-game winning streak in the month of November.
? The Blue Devils now own a 6-2 all-time record in games played on November 28. Duke lost its first ever game on November 28, a 76-75 setback to Vanderbilt at home in 1981 to open up Coach Krzyzewski's second season as head coach. The Blue Devils have made the Final Four in four of the seven seasons they played on the 28th, including 1987-88 (Def. Appalachian State, 110-74), 1998-99 (Lost to Cincinnati, 77-75), 2000-01 (Def. Illinois, 78-77) and 2003-04 (Def. Liberty, 76-47).
Krzyzewski Climbs Victory Ladder
? Duke head coach Mike Krzyzewski earned his 810th victory as a head coach on Sunday. He ranks fifth all-time in NCAA Division I history for career victories and is first among active coaches.
? Krzyzewski is now 20 victories shy of Jim Phelan for fourth all-time.
? Coach K now has 737 wins as the head coach at Duke, ranking him sixth in NCAA Division I history for victories at one school and second among active coaches (Jim Boeheim, Syracuse ? 771). Krzyzewski is 22 wins shy of Western Kentucky's Ed Diddle for fifth all-time.
? Krzyzewski's 810 victories are the second most by a head coach through 34 years of coaching. Only Dean Smith of North Carolina won more games with 830 victories.

? Duke scored 95 points against Duquesne, the second time this season they have topped the 90-point mark. The Blue Devils are 247-8 all-time under Coach K when scoring 90 or more points. Duke has scored over 70 points in all seven games this year.

Greg Paulus
? Senior Greg Paulus returned to the lineup after missing the Blue Devils' last game against Montana with a right forearm contusion.
? With three treys, Paulus moved into ninth on Duke's career list with 180 three point field goals. He passed Mike Dunleavy and is now 29 treys shy of Duke Associate Head Coach Chris Collins for eighth place. Paulus has 29 career games with three or more three-point field goals.
? Paulus dished out three assists for the second straight game and now has 79 career games with at least three assists. He is one shy of tying Jeff Capel for 10th on Duke's career assists list.
Jon Scheyer
? Jon Scheyer pulled down four rebounds to give him three or more rebounds in six of the seven games this season.
? Scheyer also recorded three assists to give him three games this season and 29 in his career with three or more assists.
Lance Thomas
? Junior forward Lance Thomas scored a career-high 21 points against Duquesne. It was his first career 20-point game and the 10th time in his career he scored in double figures. It is the first time in his career he has led the Blue Devils in scoring.
? Thomas was the first sub off the bench for the sixth time in seven games. He leads the team with 64 points off the bench, an average of 9.1 points per game.
? Thomas was a perfect 8-of-8 from the field and 5-of-6 from the foul line in the game. The 8-for-8 performance is tied for the ninth best in school history for field goals attempted without a miss. He is now shooting 23-of-34 (.676) on the season. He has also made 15-of-18 (.833) from the foul line in the last four games after making just 3-of-13 (.231) in the first three contests.
? With six rebounds, Thomas has recorded five or more rebounds in three games this season and 21 times in his career.
Brian Zoubek
? Brian Zoubek recorded two blocked shots to give him a blocked shot in six straight games. He is now tied for first on the team with eight blocked shots on the year. It is the second time this season he has blocked two shots in a game and seventh time in his career.

Kyle Singler
? Sophomore Kyle Singler extended his starts streak to 41 straight games. He has started in every game during his two seasons with the Blue Devils. The 41 consecutive starts to begin a career is the eighth most by a Duke player.
? With 17 points, Singler has scored in double figures in all seven contests and in 32 of his 41 career games.
? Singler matched his season high with six made field goals, making 6-of-12 from the field. He was 6-of-14 against Rhode Island earlier this season. He also made 2-of-6 from behind the three-point line, the third time on the year he has made at least two treys.
? Singler had seven rebounds in the game and now has at least five rebounds in all seven contests in 2008-09. He has 30 career games with five or more rebounds.
? Singler led the team in assists for the fifth straight game. He finished with four assists to give him five straight games with at least three assists.

Nolan Smith
? Sophomore guard Nolan Smith scored in double figures for the sixth time in seven games. He finished with 11 points on 4-of-7 from the field, 2-of-4 from the three-point line and 1-of-1 from the foul line.

Miles Plumlee
? Freshman Miles Plumlee finished the game with four points, two rebounds and three blocked shots. The three blocked shots tie for the most in a game this season. Gerald Henderson blocked three shots against Michigan on Nov. 21. Plumlee has a blocked shot in four games this season.
