GoDuke.com: What is your favorite book?
Cassidy Powers: The Da Vinci Code and I also really like The Kite Runner
GD: Do you have a certain type of book you like to read?
CP: Not really. I kind of just start reading it and then if I enjoy it I continue and if not, then I stop.
GD: What's your favorite TV show?
CP: I love Friends and Seinfeld. I watch the reruns almost everyday on TV. Then my newest favorite is Gossip Girl. That's kind of it. I watch that every week.
GD: Describe your SportsCenter moment
CP: It would probably be saving the game-winning goal in the national championship?the dream.
GD: What's your favorite food?
CP: I love Chinese food. I could eat that everyday. I usually like orange chicken or something like that. And then I really like Lo Mein.
GD: Do you have any pregame rituals?
CP: I do. I drink a Dr. Pepper before every game and then I listen to the same songs in the same order every game.
GD: Are you superstitious? If so, describe why.
CP: I am. I have to do my same pregame ritual and then I've worn the same sliders all season. So that's been it. I missed it one game and it was one of the games we lost. So I think I'm pretty superstitious about that.
GD: What do you plan on doing after graduation?
CP: Studying for the MCAT and hopefully going to med school. My dream school would probably be U-Penn or Duke but I'm not really sure right now.
GD: Think 10 years down the road, what will you be doing?
CP: Hopefully, out of med school and probably still doing my residency. I'm kind of interested in orthopedics but I'm open to anything.
GD: Who's had the most impact on your life and why?
CP: My parents. They've always been very encouraging. They want me to do what I want to do to succeed in life. My dad in particular I think?just seeing what he's done and his success and following in his foot steps.
GD: What's your favorite sport, other than your own, to watch on TV?
CP: I like most sports but I love watching football on Sundays...just sitting back and relaxing on the couch and watching.
GD: What position in football would you like to play if you played?
CP: I'd either want to be a quarterback or a running back.
GD: What's your advice to this year's freshmen on your team?
CP: Basically, enjoy every moment because it goes by really fast.
GD: Where is your favorite place to play outside of Duke?
CP: I love playing at Carolina just because of the atmosphere and the rivalry between us and then Notre Dame too.
GD: What will this team need to do to be successful in the NCAA Tournament?
CP: I think it's important to play as a team and leave everything out on the field because it could be our last game.
