With its 85-77 loss to Maryland, Duke falls to 22-8 on the season and 8-6 in the ACC. Duke is now 101-60 against the Terps, including 47-14 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski is now 42-20 vs. Maryland.
Duke finishes the home portion of the season with a 15-4 record. The 15 wins marks tied for the second-most wins at home in school history and the four losses marks the first time since the 1995-96 season that Duke has lost four or more home games.
Duke had five players score in double figures for just the second time this season. The other game was Jan. 20 in a 79-56 win for Duke against N.C. State in Raleigh.
Sophomore Greg Paulus had a team-high 20 points and added two assists in 32 minutes of action. Paulus was 8-of-15 from the field and 4-of-8 from behind the arc. The 20 points tied for the second-highest total in Paulus' career and is his third career 20-point performance. He has reached double figures in 18 games this season and 29 in his career.
Junior DeMarcus Nelson scored 17 points while hitting 3-of-5 from behind the arc, and added a team-high seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in 32 minutes of action. It marks Nelson's 26th game this season scoring in double figures and the 41st of his career.
Freshman Jon Scheyer scored 10 points and had five rebounds in 35 minutes of action. It is Scheyer's 21st game this season scoring in double figures.
Sophomore Josh McRoberts scored 10 points, had eight rebounds, three blocks and a pair of steals and assists. He now has eight career games and five this season with at least two in all five statistical categories. The eight career games is fourth most all-time at Duke.
Freshman Gerald Henderson scored a season-high 15 points shooting 6-of-13 from the field, and added three rebounds and a steal in 21 minutes of action. The game marks Henderson's sixth of the season scoring in double figures.
Wednesday marked the 258th consecutive sell out at Cameron Indoor Stadium.
