With their 111-70 victory over Albany on Dec. 17 at Cameron Indoor Stadium, the No. 6/7 Duke Blue Devils improve to 10-0 on the season while the Great Danes fall to 5-5. Tonight was the first meeting between the two schools. Duke is now 10-0 all-time against teams from the America East Conference.
Duke has now won 57 straight non-conference home games, the longest active streak in the nation and second-longest streak in school history. The streak includes six games this season. Duke's last loss at home to a non-ACC opponent was Feb. 26, 2000, in an 83-82 decision to St. John's.
Duke has now won 36 straight games in December and is 40-1 since 2000-01. On December 17, Duke is now 12-5 all-time, including 4-0 under coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Duke is 10-0 for the 15th time in school history, including the 12th time in 28 seasons under Coach K. Duke has started the season with 10 or more victories in three of the last four seasons and in six of the last eight.

Duke has had two streaks of seven straight games with 10 or more triples (2/11/01 ? 3/4/01 and 12/5/01 ? 1/6/02) and one streak of six (2/22/00 ? 3/11/00) and this is the third streak of five (1/16/01-2/1/01 and 1/19/05 ? 2/12/05).
Duke's 57.7 three-point field goal percentage is a season high for the team.
Four Blue Devils hit three or more three-pointers (DeMarcus Nelson 4-of-6; Greg Paulus 3-of-3; Jon Scheyer 3-of-6 and Taylor King 3-of-6), marking the second time in school history that feat has been accomplished. Four players hit three or more triples on Jan. 3, 1998, in a 104-72 win over Maryland. Duke's Steve Wojciechowski (4-of-8), Mike Chappell (3-of-3), Trajan Langdon (3-of-6) and Roshown McLeod (3-of-6) all hit three or more threes.
Duke has now sold out 264 consecutive games at Cameron Indoor Stadium dating back to a game against Boston College on Nov. 16, 1990.
Duke shot a season best 60.3 percent (38-of-63) against Albany, including hitting 60.6 (20-of-33) in the first half and 60.0 (18-of-30) in the second half. Duke has now shot above 60 percent in three straight halves and in four halves this year. It marked the first time Duke has shot 60-plus percent since shooting 28-of-41 (.683) at Miami on Jan. 14, 2007.
Duke's 111 points marks the 40th game in school history in which Duke has scored 110 or more points. It also marks the second-highest total of the season behind 126 against N.C. Central in the season opener. Duke has now scored 100 or more points a total of 101 times under Coach K and is now 99-2 in those games, including a 73-0 mark at home. All-time at home, Duke is 113-1 when scoring 100 or more points.
Duke's 41-point victory is the second-highest margin of victory on the season and marks the 106th time in Duke history they've won a game by 40 or more points. It's the 68th time under Coach K Duke has won a game by 40 or more points. Duke has won seven of its 10 games by more than 20 points and now has three games with a 35 or higher margin of victory.
Duke's bench scored 48 points, the third-highest total of the season. Albany's bench scored a Duke season high 39 points, including 24 from Tim Ambrose. Ambrose's total marks just the 40th time in Duke history a player has scored 20 or more off the bench against the Blue Devils. His total is also a Duke opponent season high and he is just the second player to score 20 against the Blue Devils this season.
Duke had just eight turnovers for the second straight game. Duke has had fewer than 10 turnovers 101 times under Coach K and is now 77-24 in those games, including a 39-4 mark since 1997-98. The last time Duke had less than 10 turnovers in back-to-back games was on Nov. 19 & Nov. 23, 2005. It marks the ninth time in the last 10 years that Duke has had fewer than 10 turnovers in back-to-back contests.
Duke had 20 assists and just eight turnovers for a 2.50-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio. Duke leads the ACC in that category, with a 1.15-to-1 ratio in the first nine games of the year.
At 10-0, Duke is now one of just 14 teams left in NCAA Division I that remains undefeated. Another one of those 14 is Pitt, Duke's next opponent (Dec. 20 at Madison Square Garden).
Senior DeMarcus Nelson scored 23 points, shooting 6-of-7 from the field and 4-of-5 from behind the arc, and added six rebounds, three assists and a pair of steals to his outstanding performance. Nelson's point total is a season high and tied for the second-highest total in his career. He played in his 100th career game and also recorded his 50th career start. Nelson now has four career 20-point performances and it marks his eighth game scoring in double figures this season and 51st in his career.
Nelson now has 970 career points and moved up two spots to 59th on Duke's career chart. He passed Brian Davis (1989-92 ? 952) and Steve Vacendak (1964-66 ? 953) and is now just two points behind Elton Brand (1998-99 ? 972) and 58th place.
Nelson how has 96 career three-pointers and he moved into 19th place on Duke's career chart passing Thomas Hill (1990-93 ? 95).
Jon Scheyer scored 18 points, hitting 7-of-10 from the field, 3-of-6 from behind the arc, and added three rebounds and three assists on the evening. Scheyer has scored in double figures in seven games this season and 30 in his career.
Taylor King scored 17 points while hitting 6-of-10 from the field and 3-of-6 from behind the arc. At home, King is Duke's leading scorer, averaging 17.3 points per game while shooting 36-of-63 (.571) from the field and 24-of-47 (.511) from behind the arc.
Brian Zoubek scored all 13 of his points in the second half as he hit 5-of-8 from the field and added seven rebounds. It marked Zoubek's fourth career game scoring in double figures and is the first such game this season.
Greg Paulus scored 11 points shooting 4-of-5 from the field and a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc. He added three assists and a pair of rebounds in the game. He now has 111 career three-pointers, tied for 13th in Duke history on the career chart. He is tied with Nate James and Lee Melchionni with 111 and immediately ahead in 12th place is Phil Henderson with 128.
