David McClure's lay-up at the buzzer to win the game marks the first game-winning buzzer-beater since Sean Dockery hit a 45-footer at the buzzer against Virginia Tech on Dec. 4, 2005.
Duke shot 15-of-18 (.833) from the free throw line, including 8-of-8 in the game's final 5:05. Duke's only points not from the line came on a Jon Scheyer three-pointer at 6:21 until McClure's lay-up at the buzzer. McClure hit two free throws to put Duke up 58-52 and then Scheyer hit four straight after Clemson made an 8-0 run, including breaking a 60-60 tie and then putting Duke up 64-61. Gerald Henderson hit two free throws with 12 seconds left to put Duke up 66-61 before Clemson scored five points in eight seconds to tie the game before McClure's game-winner.
Duke held Clemson to just 25 points in the first half, meaning Duke has now held its opponents to under 30 points in a half 22 times (out of 40 halves of play).
Duke outrebounded Clemson 40-24, marking the 17th time in 20 games this season, and fifth time in six ACC games, that Duke has outrebounded its opponent. Duke owns a +6.9 rebounding margin over its opponents this season (36.1-to-29.2). It also marks the sixth game this year Duke has held a double-digit lead in team rebounds over its opponent.

Under Coach K, Duke is now 268-117 in regular season ACC play, including a 151-42 mark on the road. He owns a 117-75 mark on the road, as well. The 268 wins are the second most in ACC history.
Sophomore Josh McRoberts recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds and added a pair of steals and assists in 36 minutes of action. It marks his fourth double-double of the season and sixth of his career. It is also his fourth game with 10-plus rebounds this year and ninth such game of his career and his 15th game scoring in double figures this year and 30th of his career.
Sophomore Greg Paulus scored 13 points and had a game-high five assists. He added two rebounds, two steals and a block to his 38-minute performance. Paulus has now reached double figures in nine games this season, including eight of the last 10, and in 20 career contests. Duke is now 19-1 when Paulus scores in double figures.
Freshman Jon Scheyer scored 12 points and was 4-of-4 from the line in the final minutes of the contest and 6-of-6 from the line in the game. He has now hit 25 consecutive free throws, just two away from the fifth most in Duke history. He added five rebounds, four assists to just one turnover and two steals in 33 minutes of action. It marked his 13th game scoring in double figures.
Sophomore David McClure scored eight points including the game-winning lay-up and added six rebounds, one block and one steal in 34 minutes of action.
Junior DeMarcus Nelson scored 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 36 minutes of action for Duke, marking his 17th game in double figures this year and 32nd of his career.
Freshman Gerald Henderson scored five points and hit two critical free throws in the game's final minute.
Thursday marked the 253rd consecutive sellout at Cameron Indoor Stadium. The last non-sellout at Cameron was Nov. 16, 1990, in a 100-76 win over Boston College.

Coach K also owns a 697-194 record at Duke, eighth most in NCAA history for wins at one school and second among active coaches. Coach K is now just three wins away from 700 in his 891 career games. The record for the fewest amount of games to win 700 games at one school is held by Kentucky's Adolph Rupp, who did it in 836 games. Second on that list is Smith, who accomplished the feat in 904 games.
