With its 85-63 win over Miami, Duke snaps a two-game losing streak and improves to 14-3 overall and 1-2 in the ACC. Duke is now 9-1 against Miami, including 2-0 at BankUnited Center. Duke has now won nine straight over Miami with all nine coming under coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Duke improves to 137-57 following a loss under Coach K. Of Duke's 194 losses under Coach K, Duke has stopped the slide at one game 100 times. This last streak of two games marks just the 37th time under Coach K Duke has lost two or more straight games, including just the sixth time in the last 10 years.
Since 1984-85, Duke is 93-27 following a loss under Coach K and since 1996-97, Duke is now 46-9 following a loss.
Duke's 68.3 (28-of-41) field goal percentage is the eighth-highest in Duke history and the highest since shooting 68.5 percent (37-of-54) against North Carolina A&T on Dec. 19, 1994, over 12 years ago. It is the fifth highest mark under Coach K It is the highest field goal percentage on the road since a 71.2 (37-of-52) at William & Mary on Nov. 26, 1985. It is the highest mark in against an ACC team since shooting the overall record 71.7 percent (33-of-46) against North Carolina in the semifinals of the ACC Tournament and the most in an ACC game since shooting 69.0 percent (40-of-58) against Virginia on Feb. 1, 1975. It is the highest field goal percentage for a road ACC game in Duke history.
Duke's first half field goal percentage of 81.0 percent (17-of-21) is a Duke record for first half field goal percentage and is the second highest percentage for any half in Duke history. Duke shot 84.8 (28-of-33) percent in the second half of a 98-64 win over Appalachian State on Dec. 5, 1984. It is also just the third half under Coach K that Duke has shot 80 percent in a half as the Blue Devils hit exactly 80 percent (20-of-25) vs. Boston College on Nov. 16, 1990. Sunday's 81.0 percent is also a Duke record for field goal percentage both in a conference game and in a road game.
Duke's 49 first half points is a season high and the most since outscoring the Hurricanes 59-43 on Feb. 19, 2006, at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Duke's 85 points is the most since scoring 86 in the season opener against Columbia on Nov. 12.
Along with its 61.0 (25-of-41) field goal shooting performance against Air Force, Duke has now had two games above 60 percent this season in 17 games. In the previous four seasons (139 games), Duke hit 60 percent just four times.
Miami recorded just 16 rebounds against Duke, marking the second-lowest total for a Duke opponent this season and sixth-lowest for an opponent in Duke history. It marks the lowest total under Coach K in a conference game and is the third lowest in program history in an ACC game (and lowest since Feb. 24, 1979, in a 47-40 win over North Carolina).
With Duke holding Air Force to 10 and Miami to 16 total rebounds, which rank No. 1 and No. 3 for the lowest opponent totals under Coach K, they are also the ninth and 10th game under Coach K an opponent has not recorded at least 20 rebounds. This season also marks the first since 1980-81, Coach K's first season in Durham, that Duke has held two opponents under 20 total rebounds more than once.
Freshman Jon Scheyer scored a Duke season high 25 points, while shooting 5-of-8 from the field, 4-of-6 from behind the arc and 11-of-11 from the line. He added three assists and a pair of rebounds. Scheyer's 25 points is the most by a freshman since Luol Deng scored 25 against North Carolina on March 6, 2004. His 11-of-11 free throw performance is the first time a player has hit all his free throws attempting at least 10 since J.J. Redick was 10-of-10 on Jan. 18, 2006, vs. N.C. State. It marks the 22nd time under Coach K a player has been hit all of his free throws while attempting at least 10 and Scheyer becomes the 13th player to accomplish that feat. It also marks Scheyer's first career 20-point performance and his 11th double-figure scoring performance.
Junior DeMarcus Nelson scored 14 points, grabbed three rebounds and had two steals and two assists. He shot 7-of-8 from the floor, a Duke season best for field goal percentage with at least five attempts. It marks Nelson's 15th game this season and 30th of his career scoring in double figures.
Sophomore Josh McRoberts scored hit all four of his field goals and finished with 11 points, five rebounds, a game-high five assists and one steal and one block. McRoberts now has 12 games scoring in double-figures this season and 27 in his career. It also marks his ninth game this season leading the Blue Devils in assists.
Sophomore Greg Paulus scored 15 points while shooting 4-of-8 from the floor, 3-of-6 from behind the arc and 4-of-4 from the free throw line. He added three rebounds, three assists and a steal in 34 minutes. It marks his sixth game in double figures this season and 17th of his career. Duke is 6-0 when Paulus scores in double figures this season and 16-1 when doing so in his career.
Sophomore David McClure scored eight points and had a career-high 11 rebounds. He hit 2-of-3 from the field and 4-of-5 from the free throw line.

Coach K ranks third among active coaches behind Olson and Bob Knight.
Coach K also ranks eighth for most wins at one school with 693. Among active coaches, he is second on that list behind Syracuse's Jim Boeheim, who is in fifth place. Immediately ahead of Coach K is UTEP's Don Haskins with 719 wins. He has 694 wins in 888 games. The fastest coach to 700 wins at one school was Adolph Rupp, who had 700 wins in 836 games at Kentucky. Second on that list is Dean Smith, who reached his 700th win in his 903rd career game at North Carolina.
Coach K is approaching the most wins in NCAA history in the first 32 years of a coaches career. Currently he has 767, second only to Dean Smith's 774 through his first 32 seasons.
