Redick And Williams Finalists For Rupp Player of the Year Award

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Commonwealth Athletic Club of Kentucky announced Monday that the Duke's J.J. Redick and Shelden Williams are two of 11 finalists for the annual award recoginizing the nation's top player. Redick won the award in 2005 and could join Bill Walton and Ralph Sampson as two-time winners of the award.
The field of 11 finalists will be reduced to a five member Rupp All-America team at the conclusion of conference tournaments this weekend and the Adolph Rupp Player of the Year will be selected from that team and announced on March 30 in Indianapolis at the opening of the Final Four.
