Duke has boasted 49 players who have been named McDonald's All-Americas and the Blue Devils have a good history with the game. Cameron Indoor Stadium played host to the 2001 game in which future Blue Devil Daniel Ewing participated and Duke has had at least one competitor in every game since 1985. A total of 47 players have played in the game since coach Mike Krzyzewski's first class that included Johnny Dawkins in the 1982 game. Duke has had at least one player in 26 of Coach K's 27 recruiting classes.

2001 Game At Cameron Indoor Stadium
In front of a sold-out crowd, the 2001 teams put on an all-star performance at Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium. The game featured a fourth-quarter comeback by the West team to win 131-125. Top scorer Eddy Curry was named the MVP of the game and led the West with 28 points and eight rebounds. Kelvin Torbert and David Lee each scored 21 points. Dajuan Wagner scored 25 points for the East while James White scored 19 and Kwame Brown and Julius Hodge each scored 17. The West victory evened the all-time standings at 12-12 just one year before the 25th Anniversary game.
A record $465,000 was raised for Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Carolina.
John R. Wooden MVP Award
Named after the legendary coach of UCLA, the Wooden MVP Award is given to the most outstanding player of the All America Game.
