DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke offensive lineman Jarrod Holt and defensive tackle Vince Oghobaase have been selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team as chosen by The Sporting News.
Holt, a 6-6, 300-pound product of Clearwater, Fla., played in 11 games this season at both guard and tackle. He was on the field for a season-high 45 snaps in Duke's game at Boston College. Holt aided in the pass protection of quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, who ranks fourth in the league in yards per game (177.8).
A 6-6, 310-pound native of Houston, Texas, Oghobaase made an immediate impact on the Blue Devil defensive front in 2006 by totaling 28 tackles, 8.0 tackles for loss and one quarterback sack while starting all 12 games at defensive tackle. His tackles for loss total ranked fifth-best on the team. In addition, Oghobaase recorded a safety when he stopped Florida State's Lorenzo Booker in the end zone during Duke's home game with the Seminoles on October 14.
