Former Duke Golfer Tucker Earns Conditional Status On LPGA Tour

DAYTONA BEACH, FLA.-- Former Duke Women's Golfer Kristina Engstrom Tucker earned non-exempt conditional status on the 2007 LPGA Tour as she finished 27th with rounds of 73, 76, 71, 73, 73, which totaled 366 for six-over-par, at the 2006 LPGA Final Qualifying School in Daytona Beach, Fla.
The top 15 golfers earned LPGA Tour cards for next year, while the next 41 golfers gained non-exempt conditional status, which Tucker earned.
In 16 events on the Duramed FUTURES Tour this past year, Tucker made $16,029 as she finished 29th on the money list. Tucker had her biggest payday of the year at the U.S. Women's Open as she finished tied for 20th and earned $41, 654.
Tucker was a 2003 graduate of Duke and guided the Blue Devils to a National Championship in 2002.
Former Blue Devil golfers Liz Janangelo, Beth Bauer and Jean Bartholomew didn't make the cut at the qualifying school.
