Talley & The ACC Record Book
Last Saturday against Florida State, senior cornerback John Talley continued to secure his spot among the top defensive backs in ACC history ... Versus the Seminoles, Talley posted two interceptions and returned one 50 yards for a touchdown to become the league's all-time leader in career interception return yards ... With his 85 return yards on the day, Talley passed Maryland's Tom Brown (275; 1960-62) and Virginia's Pat Chester (296; 1978-82) to set the league standard ... The Duncan, S.C., native now has 15 career interceptions to rank tied for 12th on the ACC's all-time chart and his three returns for touchdowns stand one shy of the conference mark held by Virginia's Randy Neal (Four; 1991-94).
