Sophomore DeMarcus Nelson saw his first action since the Drexel game on Nov. 23 when he fractured his medial malleolus of his right tibia. Nelson responded by playing 11 minutes guarding Justin Gray and converted on an alley-oop dunk from Josh McRoberts for two points and also had one assist.
J.J. Redick scored 32 points off of a 12-of-21 shooting performance, including 5-of-13 from three-point range against Wake Forest. Redick also had three assists, two steals and two rebounds.
It marked his 100th career game in double figures (10th on Duke's career list), including all 14 games this season, and 16 straight (the third-longest active streak in the ACC).
