Two Blue Devils wrapped up competition at the 13th annual William & Mary Invitational Sunday, with freshmen Melissa Mang and Jessi Robinson competing in singles and doubles.
After advancing to the consolation finals of the Flight A doubles bracket, Duke's freshman pair of Melissa Mang and Jessi Robinson fell 8-4 to Miseviciute/Kalueder of Kansas Sunday morning in the final day of play in Williamsburg.
Mang tallied a 2-2 record in singles play, winning her first two collegiate matches before falling in the semifinals of the Flight B bracket Saturday to Virginia Tech's Inga Beerman. Mang lost to Julia Koulbitskaya of Penn in Sunday's consolation game, 2-6, 7-6 (5), 1-0 (5).
Robinson put up a fight in another consolation match Sunday, falling 7-6 (6), 6-3, to Boston College's Dasha Cherkasov.
The Blue Devils return to action Friday when they travel to the Maryland Invitational, held Friday through Sunday in College Park, Md.
