ESPN has been holding Top 25 rankings of several different categories celebrating its 25th year on air, and Duke has appeared in several of the ratings. Most recently, Duke head basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski was named the top coach of the past 25 years by ESPN.com users. ESPN's expert panel selected Coach K as the third best coach (any sport) of the last quarter century. Earlier in the summer, ESPN's expert panel selected the 1992 Duke Men's Basketball team as the eighth-best team (any sport) in the past 25 years. Duke was the top men's basketball team in the ranking. ESPN voters put Duke's '92 team at No. 18. Krzyzewski, entering his 25th season in 2003-04, the 100th year of Duke basketball, has compiled 621 wins and has led Duke to 10 final fours in the past 19 years, including Duke's latest run to the Final four this past season. Three national championships (1991, '92 and 2001), an NCAA record eight 30 win seasons, 10 ACC regular season championships, eight ACC Championships (including an ACC record five straight from 1999-03) are just a few of the great number of things Coach K has accomplished on the court, which are dwarfed by his accomplishments off the court. Duke's 1991-92 team is the only team in the past 31 seasons to successfully defend its National Championship. Duke was ranked No. 1 in every single poll of the season and finished 34-2 behind the likes of Bobby Hurley, Christian Laettner and Grant Hill.
