GREENSBORO, N.C. - Duke's Luol Deng was named ACC Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season and third time in four weeks in voting by a select ACSMA media panel.
Deng recorded a team-high 20 points on 8-of-15 shooting to lead the Blue Devils against Wake Forest. Deng grabbed nine rebounds, posted two assists and a steal in 36 minutes of action.
Against Maryland, freshman forward from London, England, scored Duke's first nine points en route to a 17 point performance. Deng also posted five rebounds, an assist and a steal as the Blue Devils defeated the Terrapins, 86-63.
For the week, Deng averaged 18.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.0 steals while shooting 54 percent from the floor (14-of-26) and 73 percent from the free throw line (8-of-11).
