BROWNS SUMMITT, N.C. - For the second consecutive day, the top-ranked Duke women's golf team leads the Bryan National Collegiate and heads into the final day action with a four stroke lead over Vanderbilt at the Par 72, 6,074-yard Bryan Park Golf Club in Browns Summitt, N.C.
Duke owns a two-day total of 580 after turning in a 294 on Saturday with Vanderbilt (584), Georgia (596), Wake Forest (597) and Tennessee (600) rounding out the top five.
Junior Leigh Anne Hardin posted an even par 72 on Saturday and is in sole possession of fifth place in the individual action, while freshman Liz Janangelo continued her stellar play with a second consecutive 72 and is sixth. Senior Kristina Engstrom struggled a little after turning in a 69 on Friday as she finished with a 76 and is tied seventh. Niloufar Aazam-Zanganeh its tied 15th two-day total of 148 with two rounds of 74. Senior Maria Garcia-Estrada posted a 79 and is tied 85th overall.
Leading the individual action are a group of four players including Nuria Clau (Wake Forest), Kristy McPherson (South Carolina), Courtney Wood (Vanderbilt) and May Wood (Vanderbilt) with a two-day total of 142.
The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday.
