MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA - Former Duke All-America's Ansley Cargill and Vanessa Webb each advanced to the round of 64 at the 2003 Australian Open on Monday in Melbourne, Australia. The wins for both Cargill and Webb were their first in a Grand Slam event.
Cargill, who is currenlty ranked 118 in the world in singles, defeated 194th-ranked Anabel Medina Garriques, 6-1, 6-2, and will next face second-ranked Venus Williams.
