- The Blue Devils had a season-best nine blocks in the game
- Alana Beard scored over 20 points for the sixth consecutive game and 10th time out of 12 games.
- Beard had four blocks in the first half, which was a career-high
- Alana Beard was named MVP of the South Padre Shootout, which is the third time this season she has been named MVP of a tournament (Paradise Jam and Duke Women's Basketball Classic)
- Sheana Mosch and Jessica Foley were each selected to the All-Tournament team for Duke. Other members of the team was Lindsey Wilson (Iowa State) and Lindsey Pasquinzo (Detroit Mercy)
- The 59 points scored by Iowa State was the most scored against Duke in a regulation game this season (Arkansas scored 72 in overtime).
- Duke will be off for eight days before returning to action on Jan. 6 at home versus Clemson.
