DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke women's soccer team travels to 12th-ranked Charlotte on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Transamerica Field. The series between the two teams started in 1997 and the Blue Devils hold a 5-0 record.
Duke is 6-6-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the ACC after dominating N.C. State Tuesday night, 3-0. Charlotte is 12-0-1 overall and 7-0-0 at home. The 49ers are 12th-ranked in the NSCAA/adidas National Rankings and No. 21 in the Soccer America Poll.
Freshman forward Carolyn Riggs continues to lead the Blue Devils with eight goals and 17 points and sophomore midfielder Casey McCluskey has seven goals and 15 points. Freshman midfielder Shelly Marshall leads the team with four assists. Duke is outshooting its opponents 217-109 and has 27 goals compared to 18 goals for opponents.
