GREENSBORO, N.C. (Feb. 13) - Duke's Duane Epperson, Ben Erdeljac and Mike Hart have been named to the Atlantic Coast Conference All-Academic football team as announced on Feb. 13 by Commissioner John Swofford.
Epperson, a senior running back from Falls Church, Va., rushed for 400 yards in 2000 while catching 23 passes for an additional 146 yards. He finished his career with 1,126 rushing yards.
Erdeljac, a junior wide receiver from Oakmont, Pa., earned his second consecutive Academic All-ACC citation after hauling in 31 passes for 329 yards and a touchdown last season.
Hart, a junior tight end from Sayville, N.Y., garnered Second Team All-ACC honors in 2000 after totalling 31 pass receptions for 540 yards.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the fall semester or have maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
