The Duke women's soccer team will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., for the Atlantic Coast Conference women's soccer tournament hosted by Wake Forest November 8, 9 and 11. The Blue Devils will take on eighth-ranked Virginia in the first round on Thursday at 2:30 p.m at Dennie Spry Stadium.
The Blue Devils, winners of their last three matches and four of their last five, are playing their best soccer of the season behind the spectacular play of sophomore goalkeeper Thora Helgadottir. The Kopavogur, Iceland, native recorded three consecutive shutouts to close the regular season and has a .60 goals against average in her last five contests.
Leading the way for Duke offensively are freshman midfielder Casey McCluskey and junior midfielder Carly Fuller. McCluskey finished the regular season tied for fourth in the conference in goals (9) and was second among freshmen. Fuller has been hot as of late, scoring game-winners in two of the Blue Devils' last three matches.

The Cavaliers, who have lost only once in their last ten contests, are led by ACC Player of the Year candidate Lori Lindsey and Rookie of the Year nominee Lindsay Gusick. Lindsey is second on the squad in scoring with eight goals and three assists (19 points), including three game-winners. Gusick, who scored the game-winner in double overtime to defeat Duke on October 20, finished the season second in the conference in goals (13) and third in points (27).
