DURHAM, N.C. - The Duke women's soccer team was awarded an at-large bid to the 2001 NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament, as announced by the NCAA on Monday afternoon.
The Blue Devils will play 23rd-ranked Tennessee on Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Fetzer Field in Chapel Hill, N.C. Host North Carolina will take on UNC-Greensboro in the other regional match up at 5:00 p.m. The winners of those two matches will square off in the second round of the tournament, also in Chapel Hill, on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
Tennessee also received an at-large birth, while Greensboro and North Carolina both captured their respective conference crowns.
Tickets will go on sale this weekend at the UNC Athletic Ticket office at 1-800-227-4335. Tickets will also be available at the Fetzer Field gate beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
