TUSCON, ARIZ. - Duke sophomore Beth Bauer (Cramerton, N.C.) picked up individual honors in the Arizona Wildcat Invitational on Wednesday, while the Blue Devils finished in fourth place overall in the tournament played at the Randolph Park Golf Club.
Bauer fired a 73 in the final round to finish with a three-day total of 211 (67-71-73), which is six-under-par. It marks the second tournament in a row she has finished in the top two in play.
Duke (ranked No. 1 in the Sagarin/No. 2 in MasterCard Collegiate rankings) finished the invitational with a three-round total of 873, which is nine-over-par. Host Arizona came out on top with an 857 with Arizona State (864), Stanford (865), Duke, and New Mexico State (874) rounding out the top five.
Other Duke finishers were Maria-Garcia Estrada (T-23rd), Amie Lehman (T-28th), Kalen Anderson (T-32nd), and Candy Hannemann (T-80th).
The Blue Devils will be off till March 10-11 as they will travel to the Dominican Republic to play in the Casa de Campo.
