Duke's Kathy Sell Wins Main Draw Singles In ITA Southeast Regional Indoor Championships

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.(November 8) - Junior Kathy Sell captured the singles
championship on Monday at the ITA Southeast Regional Indoor
Championships in Winston-Salem, N.C.
Sell, a Moorestown, N.J. native, defeated Agnes Wiski of Tennessee (6-3, 6-3), #1 seed Adria Engel of Wake Forest (6-3, 6-3) and Carmina Giraldo of Clemson (6-3, 5-7, 6-3) on the final day of action to win the individual title.
Sophomore Eric Biro advanced to the final eight but lost to Giraldo 7-5, 7-6. All matches were played in the Wake Forest University Indoor Tennis Center.
The Duke women's tennis team will be off till Thursday, January 13-15 when they compete in Honolulu, Hawaii.
