Men's Basketball Trounces Five-Star Hawks 128-80

DURHAM, NC (November 2)--The Duke Men's Basketball Team trounced the Five-Star Hawks 128-80 in exhibition play Tuesday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Jayson Williams led all scorers with 25 points in 27 minutes to go along with 9 assists and a block. Shane Battier, Mike Dunleavy and Nate James dished in 19 apiece.

The Blue Devils scored a whopping 67 points in the first half and nearly matched it with a 61 point second half finishing 46-77 for 59.7% from the field.

Mike Campbell was the high scorer for the Five-Star Hawks.

I thought our kids did really well tonight. They were a little bit nervous when we got some of the young guys in there and played really hard especially in the first half both offensively and defensively.
