Charles Gilfillan

Charles Gilfillan

Charles Gilfillan was a three-time All-America for the Duke Lacrosse team. He earned first team honors in 1948 and 1951 and third team merit in 1950.

His senior year, the 1951 squad compiled a 6-1 record to finish as the national championship runner-up to the University of Virginia.

A defenseman on the field of competition, Gilfillan is remembered as one of the greats in the famed sport.

One of his teammates, Gene Corrigan, is also a member of the Duke Sports Hall of Fame.
