Junior cornerback Chandler Rivers capped off an impressive 2024 season by earning a spot on the Phil Steele All-America Fourth Team, marking his fourth All-America honor of the year. Rivers also received recognition from The Athletic (Second Team), College Football Network (Second Team) and the Associated Press (Third Team).
The Beaumont, Texas, native recorded 54 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, three interceptions, nine pass breakups, three quarterback pressures, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. An All-ACC First Team selection, Rivers tied the Duke record for interceptions in three consecutive games (vs. Florida State, SMU, and Miami), becoming the first Blue Devil to achieve the feat since John Talley in 2006.
In ACC play, Rivers totaled 40 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sack, three interceptions, eight pass breakups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
