Planning your visit to Brooks Field at Wallace Wade Stadium or Cameron Indoor Stadium for football or basketball? Here’s everything you need to know to make your game day entry smooth and stress free.

Clear Bag Policy

All guests must adhere to Duke’s clear bag policy. Bags must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and no larger than 12 x 12 x 6 inches. This includes bags used for medical or childcare needs.

You may also bring:

Small clutches or wallets (with or without a strap) that fit in the palm of the hand (no larger than 8 x 5 x 1 inches)
One-gallon clear plastic storage bags
Duke Stores merchandise bags, provided you have a receipt showing a game day purchase

Please note: all standard prohibited item rules still apply, including restrictions on noisemakers, drink containers, laser pointers and selfie sticks, even for items purchased at Duke Stores.

Student Bag Policy for Men’s Basketball

For men's basketball games, Duke students seated in the undergraduate or graduate sections may only bring:

Hip packs worn on the body (no larger than 8 x 5 x 1 inches)
Small clutches or wallets that fit in the palm of the hand (no larger than 8 x 5 x 1 inches)

All student items will be opened and inspected before entry.

Entry Screening Procedures

All fans, students and staff are subject to screening before entering the venue.

Walk-through metal detectors are the primary screening method
If needed, hand-held metal detectors and physical pat-downs may be used
Guests who do not consent to screening will not be permitted to enter

Guests should carry personal items, including their clear bag, through the detector and walk single file through the center without touching the poles. Children able to walk should pass through independently. Infants and toddlers may be carried.

What Happens If...

The metal detector alerts: You will be directed to a secondary screening using a hand-held detector or pat-down. Staff will inspect the area where the item was detected.

Your bag requires closer inspection: You will be asked to remove and display items as directed by event staff.

Accessible screening lanes are available for guests using assistive devices, medical devices or carrying childcare items. These screenings use a hand-held detector or pat-down, and all personal items will be visually inspected.

Permitted Items

Clear bags (up to 12 x 12 x 6 inches)
Wristlets or clutches (smaller than 8 x 5 x 1 inches)
Binoculars and camera cases (no larger than 8 x 5 x 1 inches)
Cameras with lenses shorter than four inches
Blankets, coats and rain gear
Duke Stores bags with receipt
Seat cushions and stadium chairs
Small radios with headphones
Umbrellas (may not be opened in seating areas)

Prohibited Items

Alcoholic beverages
Artificial noisemakers
Bags larger than 12 x 12 x 6 inches
Balloons, balls and frisbees
Cameras with lenses over four inches
Coolers, ice chests and similar containers
Cups, bottles, thermoses and drink containers
Drones or unmanned aircraft systems
Hazardous materials
Laser pointers and selfie sticks
Outside food and beverages (exceptions for medical or childcare needs)
Outside chairs, including folding and tailgate chairs
Pets (except service animals)
Video cameras
Weapons of any kind, including pocket knives
Wheelie shoes
