Learning More About Kate
Tabbed a player to watch out of the Northeast Region by Max Field Hockey, Donnellan was a three-year starter for Megan Wax at Greenwich High School and captained the squad her senior season. Donnellan, a leader on the attack for the Cardinals, scored eight goals in her first season of high school field hockey and nearly tripled that as a sophomore with 21 tallies to earn All-FCIAC honorable mention recognition. Donnellan led Greenwich with 22 goals as a junior and capped her career with 24 this past season.
Donnellan's scoring prowess helped the Cardinals to a successful 2023 season that saw them advance to the FCIAC Tournament semifinals and the CIAC Class L Tournament semifinals. In 2024, Greenwich posted an 11-3 record in the FCIAC to finish first in the western division of the conference. Following a successful senior campaign, the speedy attacker captured CHSCA Field Hockey All-State second team honors and was an honorable mention selection to the 2024 GametimeCT All-State Field Hockey team.
Playing her club hockey for AGH, Donnellan garnered an invitation to the U19 United States women's national team selection camp and has been a mainstay within the Nexus Championship for AGH throughout her career.
