Sydney Beare | Midfield | North London, England
Duke field hockey head coach Pam Bustin and the program are excited to welcome a total of eight additions to the Blue Devil program in 2025. The Blue Devils will profile each of the newest Duke True members over the next two weeks. First up is Sydney Beare - a midfielder from North England.
Hailing from Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, Pennsylvania and England and The Netherlands, this group features a diverse set of talents and field hockey experiences. While varying in position, one thing is for sure, Duke field hockey got better on and off the turf with the addition of this group of outstanding young players.
“Sydney will continue her impressive field hockey play from across the pond to Duke University! As a midfielder, Sydney can distribute the play and also be a threat in the circle. She loves the game and is passionate about the process to success – both on the field and in the classroom. Having played within the English hockey system, Sydney is ready for the challenge of US Division I Collegiate field hockey. We are excited to welcome Sydney to Duke!”Head Coach Pam Bustin
