Thank you Issy, Ava, Brooke, Paige, Reagan, Brynn, Alaina, Abigail and Macy
Thank You Grads!
This trio of graduate students has provided us with a wealth of knowledge, leadership and personality this season. Whether they have spent five years or just one season with us, they have given their all and done so in their own unique way. Thank you Issy, Brook and Ava. We are proud to call you Blue Devils.

Brooke Borzymowksi - Fallston, Maryland
Duke field hockey definitely wins with the addition of Brooke to our 2025 roster. We were initially excited to welcome Brooke for her goalkeeping skills and successes, and those have proved to be outstanding. However, what we did not truly know was the person who possessed those talents. Brooke has brought a level temperament, a wise perspective, humor and gratitude to the team room and pitch everyday. Her energy and presence have brought an additional boost of quiet confidence to the squad. We are thrilled to call you a Blue Devil!Pam Bustin

Issy Carey - Weybridge, England
We are fortunate to have had Issy back for her grad year. She has brought experience and wisdom to the field and amongst our younger players. This program has become her family over the past five years and she takes pride in representing Duke True as well as the entire Duke community. Issy has a clear understanding of the game and is a dangerous asset in our attacking circle. Her team-supportive talents go beyond the pitch. Issy’s artistry has designed many team projects from T-shirt logos to our beloved team room mural. It is a joy to see Issy’s confidence shine as she enjoys this fifth year with the team. Thank you Issy!Pam Bustin

Ava Cickavage - Moorestown, New Jersey
I knew Ava at the beginning of her collegiate search and feel so fortunate to be a part of the conclusion of her collegiate career. Ava has brought strength, guts and experience to an entirely new Duke backfield. She was willing to step in to a role that was uncommon for her. She has embraced that role, has dominated that role and made it hers. Ava has been reliable and is always open to our coaching and to discussions with her teammates - wanting to find a winning solution. It is evident that even in her fifth year of collegiate play, she wants to be better and continues to be open to new ideas. It has been a pleasure working with Ava and again, I am so grateful that she chose Duke for this special year!Pam Bustin

Thank You Seniors!
This 2025 senior group (Paige, Reagan, Brynn, Alaina, Abby and Macy) has been the cornerstone of our resurgence. They came to Duke with a mission to win games and build one of the most comprehensive field hockey programs in the country. Each brings their own personality, their own skills and talents; but together their champion mindset has helped to transform the way in which our Duke field hockey student-athletes approach all aspects of training as well as our everyday team dynamics. Collectively they have been a joy to work with and individually each as given so much to our program. #GRATEFUL

Paige Bitting - Hummelstown, Pa.
Paige has always been attentive and engaged. Her journey to become one of Duke’s smartest and most reliable players began immediately upon her arrival. It is evident Paige was raised in a competitive and sporting environment. She understands strategy. She is committed to earning physical gains and exudes a level of sportsmanship that reveals her inherent character. It is a privilege to share the field and team room, and an honor to be a part of her incredible journey. Thank you, Paige, for your consistency, your champion mentality, and your trust in the process: qualities that will continue to bring you much success.Pam Bustin

Reagan Ciabattoni - Lewes, Del.
Reagan’s work ethic and leadership has undoubtedly shaped the identity of this team. Her ability to “see the big picture”, and distill sometimes seemingly complicated situations, have helped her team communicate and connect on and off the field. Each day, Reagan challenges the focus and intensity of the team, raising the quality of our work. She is an incredible representative of Duke True and Duke Athletics and I am beyond grateful to have shared the past four years (and beyond) with her - thank you Reggie!Pam Bustin

Brynn Crouse - Dillsburg, Pa.
Brynn is one of the hardest workers on the field. Her efforts reflect her want to win. Over the years, Brynn has continued to grow her game and sharpen her strengths to become a dangerous presser and goal scorer. Her studious approach to the game coupled with her competitive drive have had a positive impact on our team. Brynn is coachable and takes accountability - allowing her to grow and enjoy the process required to succeed. Thank you Brynn for being the ultimate teammate!Pam Bustin

Alaina McVeigh - Lansdale, Pa.
Although Alaina’s Duke career had to wait a season, her eventual arrival has helped to establish Duke as a dangerous attacking team. Her professional approach to the game, her ownership of her role and her “team first” attitude amongst all the accolades are qualities that have earned the endearment from her teammates. Alaina is a straight talker who eliminates the “fluff” and gets right to the point - finding solutions to challenges and putting them in action. She walks the talk, although her talk often goes unspoken. We all know what Alaina expects and is working towards: earning a win with her team. We are thankful and honored that Alaina is a Blue Devil and thrilled to have her back for her grad year! GO DUKE.Pam Bustin

Abigail Spear - Virginia Beach, Va.
Abby has continuously brought her high energy style of play to each day; challenging our attackers to think smarter, react quicker, and to shoot with intention. She is quick, she is strong, and she enjoys the competition. Abby is prepared and willing to lend a hand in any way. Her selflessness has served the team on and off the field and is appreciated by all. There is no question that Abby will continue to bring her passion to whatever she tackles. Thank you, Abby!

Macy Szukics - Malvern, Pa.
Macy’s versatility and elite game sense have favored the Blue Devils from day one. Her commitment to the program has lead to incredible growth in her physical and mindful development. She 100% cares about her team and will do what is necessary to help them succeed. Macy has the stick skills, an innate defensive sense, the fitness, the strategic overview. This year Macy has really stepped up as a vocal leader on and off the field. She has earned the trust of her teammates and coaches through her preparedness, reliability and selflessness. Macy is undoubtedly one of the top all-round players in NCAA field hockey and we are so proud that she wears the DUKE uniform. Thank you Macy for your trust and engagement each and every day.Pam Bustin
