DURHAM, N.C.— The Duke women's soccer trio of
Hannah Bebar,
Michelle Cooper and
Ella Stevens have received the call from U.S. Soccer to train with the U.S. Women's Soccer Team beginning next week in California.
Bebar and Stevens were two of 26 players picked by U.S. Women's National Team head coach Emma Hayes for the year-opening training camp being held from January 14-21 at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif.
Cooper is one of 24 players named by Hayes for the 2025 Futures Camp, which will feature up-and-coming U.S. Women's National Team prospects. This camp will also take place Jan. 14-21 along with the full national team. Hayes and her U.S. National Team coaching staff, along with all of the USA's Youth National Team head coaches, will come together to run the training sessions at the Futures Camp.
Both Bebar and Stevens received their first call from the full U.S. Women's National Team, after turning in impressive seasons in 2024.
In her one season at Duke in 2024, Bebar was a United Soccer Coaches All-American starting all 22 matches, while collecting three goals and five assists for 11 points from the defensive midfield position. Two of her goals came on the road at eventual national champion North Carolina to conclude the regular season. Bebar, who hails from Naperville, Ill., was both an Academic All-American and All-American in her lone season in Durham.
Since moving to Gotham FC, this past season, Stevens featured her best professional campaign with seven goals and four assists over 24 matches. She saw action in 1,325 minutes up top for Gotham, which posted a 17-4-5 ledger. Stevens, a 2020 Duke graduate, was a three-time All-ACC selection and long-time U.S. Youth National Team player over the years.
In her second year as a professional with Kansas City Current, Cooper totaled three goals and three assists in 23 matches in 2024. She logged 1,502 minutes on the season and helped the Current total a 16-3-7 record. Over her first two years in professional soccer, Cooper has six goals in the regular season. A two-time All-American at Duke in 2021 and 2022, Cooper posted an impressive 31 goals and 16 assists. She has appeared in many U.S. Soccer training camps and last donned the U.S. Soccer crest at the 2022 U-20 Women's World Cup.
