DURHAM – The Duke women's lacrosse team is set for another ACC weekend as it travels to Syracuse, N.Y., to take on the fourth-ranked Orange Saturday. Opening draw is set for noon on ACCNX.
Last Time Out
- The Duke women's lacrosse team collected a 16-13 road victory over Liberty Tuesday evening in Lynchburg, Va.
- Duke was led by Katie DeSimone and Caroline DeBellis with five goals each while Maddie McCorkle brought in a career-high five points from three goals and two assists. Defensively, the Blue Devils were led by Reilly Traynor with two ground balls and a caused turnover.
- Goalie Kennedy Everson tallied six saves for a .429 save percentage in 48 minutes of action.
- Duke moved to 3-3 this spring and is 3-2 against non-conference opponents.
Scouting the Orange
- Syracuse comes into Saturday's contest as the fourth-ranked team nationally and has had a week of rest. Most recently, the Orange defeated No. 2 Notre Dame (16-14) in South Bend. The Orange lost their season opener to No. 1 Northwestern (18-15) and to No. 9 Maryland in overtime (9-8). Duke will be Syracuse's first unranked opponent this spring.
- The Orange are led by Olivia Adamson with 20 points (13g, 7a), Natalie Smith (13g, 3a) and Emma Ward (6g, 10a). Draw control specialist Kate Mashewske owns 23 draws this spring while defender Kate Goodale owns 10 ground balls, nine caused turnovers and eight draw controls.
- Goalie Delaney Sweitzer returns to the cage with a .400 save percentage and a 12.03 GAA. She also owns seven caused turnovers and 11 ground balls.
Series History
- Duke and Syracuse meet for the 11th time in program history as the Orange lead the all-time series, 8-2. Syracuse has won the last four and seven of the last eight.

- Duke will return to Koskinen Stadium to welcome Pittsburgh Saturday, March 9.
