Round 5, Pick 147: Ethan Murray to the Milwaukee Brewers
Ethan Murray Highlights:
- Was a staple in the Duke infield, starting all 128 games he appeared in over his three-year career
- Slashed .292/.392/.432 with 26 doubles, six triples and nine home runs while drawing 76 walks in his Duke tenure
- Garnered Freshman All-America and ACC All-Freshman Team honors in 2019
- Made NCAA history as just the ninth player to hit two triples in a single inning, doing so against Campbell on April 13, 2021
- Just the second Blue Devil to be drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers, joining Jeff Becker (1998)

Ethan Murray is a true gym rat on the baseball field. He loves to play the game and his work ethic is unmatched. His understanding of process combined with his work ethic will make him a great professional baseball player. I have no doubts that Ethan has the skill set to play shortstop in pro ball.Duke Head Coach Chris Pollard

Round 10, Pick 304: Peter Matt to the Chicago Cubs
Peter Matt Highlights:
- Boasted speed and power at the plate
- Slashed .306/.377/.474 in his five-year career
- Set the NCAA record for at-bats in a game as a junior at Penn (12 in a 21-inning game versus Dartmouth on April 6, 2019)
- Two-time All-Ivy selection at Penn

- Is the seventh Blue Devil to be drafted by the Chicago Cubs, joining former Blue Devils Bailey Clark ('16), Adam Laskey ('19) and Matt Mervis ('20) in the organization

Peter solidified our offense in 2021 with an elite combination of power and speed. What an incredible fifth year of eligibility. A Duke master's degree from the Fuqua School of Business, an ACC Championship and now an opportunity in professional baseball with the Chicago Cubs. I couldn't be happier for him.Duke Head Coach Chris Pollard

Round 11, Pick 313: Jack Carey to the Pittsburgh Pirates
Jack Carey Highlights:
- Carried a 5.07 ERA and a 9-5 record in 43 appearances with 18 starts in his three-year career

- Held batters to a .253 average and put together a 3.92 ERA in his ACC career
- Is the fourth Duke player to be drafted by the Pirates, joining former Blue Devil James Marvel ('15) in the organization

I am so proud of Jack and his development on the mound this year in our program. He emerged as a true Friday night ace for us. As I have said many occasions, we would not have won the ACC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament without the tremendous job he did down the stretch. He has the combination of stuff and competitiveness to be really successful in professional baseball.Duke Head Coach Chris Pollard
