DURHAM, N.C. -- Duke Women's Lacrosse will host a coaches' camp from Wed., Dec. 27, through Fri., Dec 29, at Duke University. The camp will be run by Duke Women's Lacrosse staff, along with other top college coaches and trainers from around the country.
Attending coaches will be taken through practice drills and hands-on teaching, and the topics to be covered will include team attack, midfield transition, defense, goalkeeping, and specialty topics in speed training and sports psychology. The camp is open to anyone who wants to learn more about the game at any level from college on down to youth.
The staff for the camp was hand-picked to include elite college coaches, speed and strength trainers, and sports psychologists. Duke University Head Women's Lacrosse Coach Kerstin Kimel and her staff will run the camp, and will be assisted by coaches from North Carolina, Virginia Tech, the University of Pennsylvania, Maryland, Northwestern, William & Mary, Brown, Boston University, and Denver.
The cost of the camp is $250 per coach if you are willing to share a room and $375 if you want your own room. This includes a 2 night stay in a hotel, meals throughout the camp, shuttle service to sessions, a coaching packet, a free t-shirt, an STX lacrosse stick, an STX bag, and a coaches' social with Duke University Women's Lacrosse coaches, presenters, and other college coaches.
